In the Department of Computer Science, students can study for a:
- 2-year Diploma
- 4-year Bachelor of Science
This program produces graduates with a broad understanding of both computing principles and computing practice. The program emphasizes the fundamental computing models through the design and analysis of algorithms and software. This programme leads to a specialization in computer software and the theory of computing. The course also offers students a chance to get hands-on experience with programming and computer networking and offers electives in mathematics, business and science subjects. A Diploma may be earned after 2 years of full time study. For the Bachelors Degree programme 2 further years of study are required. |

The Computer Science program combines a rigorous education in computer science with added electives in areas outside of computing, in the sciences, business, or mathematics. A programme that combines computer science and non-computing electives provides our graduates with the breadth of understanding to apply computer science to other disciplines, which is particularly valuable as computing has become a key aspect of nearly all endeavors. The Program Educational Objectives of the Computer Science program describe our graduates expected accomplishments during the first few years following graduation from the program. The Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate program educational objectives are that our learners: - Practice as computing professionals (appropriate to the description of the Computer Science program described above), conducting research and/or leading, designing, developing, or maintaining projects in various technical areas;
- Apply the ethical and social aspects of modern computing technology to the design, development, and usage of computing artifacts; and,
- Enhance their skills and embrace new computing technologies through self-directed professional development and post-graduate training or education
